GOODS IN OPERATIVE - Peterlee
The salary on a 40-hour week is £15,600 per annum (plus a 9% shift allowance on hours worked after 6pm).
The role will be based in Peterlee in County Durham. The role is full time (40 hours per week) and we are looking for the candidate to work Monday to Friday. Initially the role will be 8.30am-5pm (Mon-Fri), moving to 11.30am-8pm (Mon-Thurs) and 9.30am-6pm (Fri) after approximately 4 weeks training.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role, will have a solid understanding of warehouse environments. The role will encompass the following core duties:
•Unloading vehicles using counterbalance fork lift truck (where license is held).
•Booking stock into the system and putting away.
•Loading and unloading of carton/pallet freight.
•Housekeeping of despatch area and FLT routes.
•Using computer system to check stock and stock locations.
•Using hand held scanners.
Desirable: Current Counterbalance fork lift truck.
We are looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:
•To perform in a timely manner – essential when deliveries are on a tight timeframe.
•Close attention to detail – vital when ensuring product is loaded/unloaded accurately.
•Excellent communication skills as the post holder will interact with internally with colleagues, managers and externally with delivery drivers.
•The post holder will need to be physically fit as there is some heavy lifting involved (training on lifting will be provided).
