About the role – Finance Officer

 

We are looking for a highly organised individual to play a key role in providing financial support to Finchale Group.

Salary: £10,930 – £11,686

Status: Permanent, Part-Time 25 Hours per week over 5 days.

As a Finance Officer you will support the Senior Finance Officer with financial services across the business. You’ll ensure that all information is processed accurately, invoices and orders, dealing with petty cash and sundry sales activity, as well as assisting the Senior Finance Officer as appropriate.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Processing the Purchase Ledger including purchase orders and invoices, supplier statement reconciliations and payments to suppliers for the Charity & Trading subsidiary.
  • Processing the Sales Ledger including the raising of sales invoices, debtor reconciliations and credit control for the Charity and Trading subsidiary.
  • Assist the Senior Finance Officer with contract claims.

 

What you will need to succeed

 

With previous accounting experience in a similar role, you’ll be able to accurately process information, invoices and orders, deal with petty cash and sundry sales activity as well as assist the Senior Finance Officer as appropriate.

Experienced in using Sage Line 50 Accounts & MS Office systems (Excel) you’ll be able to work independently and be a proactive member of the team. You’ll also have excellent attention to detail and accuracy as well as strong time management skills ensuring all work is completed on time.

This role also requires someone with a sound educational background (e.g. minimum of 5 GCSE’s or equivalent at the equivalent of grade C or above, including Maths and English) and AAT level 3.
